Abraham Hunsberger married Mary Georgian Belzer after the death of his first wife, Katie Boeckner in 1888. They were living in Colorado but times were very hard and they decided to return to Nebraska. Through their church they heard of farms available close to the Sodtown
Evangelical Church. They purchased land in Garfield Township a mile and one half from the church. They moved an old house off another
farm to their land to live in until Abraham was able to complete the large house in 1913. Abraham developed a type of anemia and passed away
in 1914 shortly after the house was completed.
